It Is With The Deepest Sadness We Say Goodbye To Chef Lenny Greene Colleague, Mentor, Friend, Chef Extraodinaire Your Two Good Hands Will Be Deeply Missed Safe Journeys
Lenny Greene, 63, of Dighton Avenue, Portsmouth, RI, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012, in Newport.
Born in New London, CT, on July 26, 1949, he was the son of the late Thelma Mae Greene.
Lenny worked as a chef for many years at Market on the Boulevard and Sweet Berry Farm and most recently for St. George’s School. Lenny was an avid bowler as a member of the men’s Wednesday night “Coors” league. He was most proud of his “800” series accomplishments as a member of the Thursday night mixed league in Somerset, MA.
His brother Reginald Nalle of Middletown and nieces and nephews survive Lenny. He also leaves his dear friends Mary and Frank Martins of Middletown and Mary and John Conway of Newport.
Besides his mother, his brother Wayne Phillip Greene preceded him in death.
