Is Sweet Berry Farm on Facebook? You can hit the wall on our Facebook page.
Facebook calls Sweet Berry Farm a garden of earthly delights—what’s up with that? The phrase echoes the title of a triptych painted around 1500 by Hieronymus Bosch and called “The Garden of Earthly Delights” in English (“Tuin der lusten” in the original Dutch). In the center panel a crowd of naturists are cavorting outdoors with a fantastical collection of animals, plants, and fruit, including one young man who is wooing a young woman by offering her a giant strawberry (you can see more about Bosch and fruit symbolism here, find out about Roz Chast’s contemporary Garden takeoff here — and enlarge Roz Chast’s image to read the balloons by clicking on the image found here).
